Abstract

The Section of Measuring of the Laboratory of Waste Materials and Emissions analyses the composition of domestic waste in the Netherlands. This report presents the results of 1993. The composition of domestic waste varies, due to socio-economic and regional differences. Therefore eleven districts in the Netherland were sampled. The main components of domestic waste, amongst others: Vegetable, Fruit and Garden waste and indefined particles (39,8%); Paper/Cardboard (27,1%) ; Plastics (8,9%) ; Glass (4,2%) Ferrous (4,1%).
