Abstract

The impact on the direct environment of a tufting industry applying foambacking has been investigated. The concentrations of 1,3-butadiene, styrene, acrylates, alkylbenzenes, some mercaptanes and 2-ethylhexanol have been measured in the flue gas. By means of a dispersion model maximum immission-concentrations of 0,004 mug/m3 at groundlevel for a distance of 200 m are calculated.
