Samenvatting
In opdracht van het ministerie van Landbouw, Visserij, Voedselzekerheid en Natuur (LVVN) onderzoekt het RIVM de mogelijke relatie tussen bestrijdingsmiddelen en het ontstaan van de ziekte van Parkinson. Dit vindt plaats binnen het project Strategies for regulatory assessment of PARKinson's disease (SPARK). Deze publicatie beschrijft de voortgang van SPARK sinds oktober 2025. Zo is onder meer gewerkt aan literatuuronderzoek om een actueel overzicht te krijgen van beschikbare testmethoden die kunnen worden opgenomen in de teststrategie. Ook is de wetenschappelijke adviescommissie samengesteld en is communicatie naar stakeholdergroepen voorbereid en de onderwerppagina op rivm.nl geactualiseerd.
Abstract
At the request of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature (LVVN), the RIVM is investigating the possible relationship between pesticides and the development of Parkinson's disease. This is taking place within the project Strategies for Regulatory Assessment of PARKinson's disease (SPARK). This publication describes the progress of SPARK since October 2025. Among other things, a literature review has been conducted to to compile an up-to-date overview of available test methods that can be included in the testing strategy. In addition, the scientific advisory committee has been established, communication with stakeholder groups has been prepared, and the topic page on rivm.nl has been updated.
