Samenvatting
In opdracht van het ministerie van Landbouw, Visserij, Voedselzekerheid en Natuur (LVVN) onderzoekt het RIVM de mogelijke relatie tussen bestrijdingsmiddelen en het ontstaan van de ziekte van Parkinson. Dit vindt plaats binnen het project Strategies for regulatory assessment of PARKinson's disease (SPARK). Deze publicatie beschrijft de voortgang van SPARK sinds april 2026. Zo is onder meer het overzicht van beschikbare testmethoden die kunnen worden opgenomen in de teststrategie verder uitgewerkt, en zijn laboratoriumwerkzaamheden gestart. Ook is de eerste bijeenkomst van de wetenschappelijke adviescommissie gepland.
Abstract
At the request of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature (LVVN), the RIVM is investigating the possible relationship between pesticides and the development of Parkinson's disease. This is taking place within the project Strategies for Regulatory Assessment of PARKinson's disease (SPARK). This publication describes the progress of SPARK since April 2026. Among other things, the compilation of an up-to-date overview of available test methods that can be included in the testing strategy has been further developed and experimental work has commenced. In addition, the first meeting of the scientific advisory committee has been planned.
