COACTION addresses antibiotic usage and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in Colombia (fact-finding). It investigates how Colombia and the Netherlands can work together to reduce AMR through innovation, capacity building, knowledge transfer or businesses between Colombia and the Netherlands.
Goal of the project
COACTION strives to determine the state of action on antibiotic usage (AMU) and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in Colombia, and the players involved in combatting antimicrobial resistance. For information, the Dutch approach to AMU and AMR is described, including the actors involved and the share of responsibilities. COACTION will contribute to identifying alternatives for the sustainable development of the local private sector in the domains of human, animal, and environmental health. In addition, it aims to support strengthening the policy framework and the enabling environment for AMU/AMR reduction in the country.
