Some people who had COVID-19 struggle with lingering symptoms for a while after the infection. This is called ‘Long COVID or Post-COVID’. Examples of long-term health problems after COVID-19 include tiredness, shortness of breath and pain. 

This group of specialists and experts from RIVM and elsewhere, all contributing from different backgrounds, are constantly working in close consultation to determine the best way to control the coronavirus outbreak in the Netherlands. The OMT plays a key role in advising the Dutch government on this matter. OMT members tell about their work in this video.

Climate change is affecting the quality and availability of water in the Netherlands. Various factors play a role in this. There is a greater chance of long periods of drought. Extreme showers in the summer are also more common and the water is becoming warmer. This affects, for example, pathogens or other contaminants that may be present in the water.

Climate, food and health are interrelated in many complex ways. Food supply and food safety are important themes in these areas.
