Wat doet het Nationaal Knooppunt?
De focus van het Nationaal Knooppunt Internationale Gezondheidsvergelijkingen ligt op de coördinatie van kennis en expertise over internationale gezondheidsdata en hun gebruik. Het Knooppunt heeft als taken het proces-overzicht, coördinatie en afstemming, signalering en zichtbaarheid.
Subdoelen en activiteiten die er vanuit het knooppunt aan bij zouden kunnen dragen zijn onder andere:
- Bewaren van proces-overzicht door het in kaart brengen/houden van
- relevante internationale data- en informatie-uitvragen en de instituten/personen die deze voor Nederland hebben beantwoord (het zogenaamde ‘uitvragen-archief’)
- belangrijke internationale data-bronnen en indicatorensets, informatieportalen en kernrapporten
- relevante internationale gremia waarin internationale vergelijking/benchmarking een belangrijk onderwerp is (bijv. werkgroepen, expertgroepen of projecten binnen internationale organisaties), en waaraan Nederlandse afgevaardigden deelnemen
- relevante internationale bijeenkomsten, commissies en projecten
- Coördinatie en bevorderen van afstemming tussen partijen
- ophalen van informatie mogelijk maken tussen partijen bij vragen vanuit internationale organisaties (knooppuntfunctie)
- organiseren van overleg tussen leden van het knooppunt
- Signaleren als een goede aansluiting van Nederlandse gezondheidsdata bij de internationale behoefte en vice versa in gevaar is of dreigt te komen.
- Bevorderen van gebruik en zichtbaarheid van internationale vergelijkingen volksgezondheid, inclusief bevorderen van goede en volledige informatie in producten van internationale organisaties.
- Bevorderen van internationale uitwisseling, d.w.z. leren van internationale organisaties en collega’s.
