RIVM, the collective Municipal Public Health Services (GGDs) in collaboration with GGD GHOR, the NIVEL Netherlands Institute for Health Services Research and ARQ National Psychotrauma Centre have developed a new monitor: the Integrated Health Monitor

In order to achieve an accurate overview of how often respiratory infections occur in the Netherlands, it is important to know how many patients are admitted to hospital with a respiratory infection.

Vaccination coverage in the Netherlands rose more sharply this week than in previous weeks, increasing to 81.7% among people aged 18 years and older and 79.0% among those aged 12 years and older.

RIVM is providing access to COVID-19 vaccination figures by municipality via open data as of today.  The open data now includes vaccination turnout and coverage by municipality for three age groups.

The number of new patients admitted to hospital with COVID-19 increased to 538 admissions last week. That is 266 more admissions than in the previous week.

The 26th RIVM vaccination update now shows vaccination turnout for people aged 25-44 years by municipality. This involves people who have received at least one COVID-19 vaccination.

In the past week from 14-20 July 2021, the reported number of people who tested positive for COVID-19 increased by 34% compared to the previous week.

Following an advisory report by the Health Council, Minister De Jonge decided on 6 July 2021, effective as of 16 July, that people who had received one vaccination with AstraZeneca could opt for the Pfizer/BioNTech for their second jab.

In the past week from 7-13 July 2021, the number of reported positive tests increased more than sixfold (+508%) compared to the previous week. This increase was observed in all security regions.

The RIVM vaccination update this week has been expanded to include vaccination coverage by municipality, specifying full COVID-19 vaccination among people aged 65 and over and people aged 45-64 years.
