Positive tested persons
Admitted to hospital
* The actual number of infections with the novel coronavirus is higher than the number mentioned here. This is because not everyone who may be infected is tested for the virus.
** There is a delay between the day of hospital admission or the day of death, and the day on which those figures are reported.

Initial test results: 2.8 per cent of employees with symptoms working in primary education and childcare test positive for COVID-19
Since 6 May 2020, employees with (mild) symptoms working in primary education and childcare have low-threshold access to testing. Testing is available at so-called 'drive-through' testing sites of the Municipal Public Health Service (GGD), via the general practitioner or the hospital.
Analyses of the first 2100 tests in the drive-through group show that 2.8 per cent of employees in childcare and primary education presenting with symptoms have tested positive for COVID-19.
From 6 May to 25 May 10:00 A.M., a total of 99 people working in primary education and childcare with a COVID-19 infection have been reported to RIVMNational Institute for Public Health and the Environment . This includes all positive-tested people from this group (tested at the drive-through testing site, via the general practitioner or the hospital). One person from this group of 99 has been reported as hospitalised.
RIVM monitors this data closely, and will continue to monitor when secondary education reopens.

Daily COVID-19 update 26 May 2020
Hospital admissions for 10 patients due to COVID-19 were reported today (current or previous). 26 deaths were reported. Not all of the reported hospital admissions or deaths occurred within the last 24 hours. Some patients are reported later. For this reason, the figures are often supplemented with data from days in the past.
45,578 confirmed COVID-19 patients have been reported to RIVM so far.
The figures are in line with the impression that the measures are working. Since not all COVID-19 patients are tested, the actual numbers in the Netherlands are higher than the numbers stated here.
This map shows the number of patients admitted to hospital per 100,000 residents, as reported by the Municipal Public Health Services (GGDs) and municipalities. Subsequent corrections in the system may lead to changes.
