Studies based on the LCA-data

The LCA food database is used for multiple studies by RIVM. The LCA Food database is often used in combination with the Dutch National Food Consumption Survey and the EPIC-NL study. A summary of the most recent studies is given below. 

Population screening on Bonaire

Information about the population screening programs on Bonaire is available in Papiamentu, English and Dutch.

Livestock farming and residential health

RIVM, the Interfaculty Research Institute for Veterinary Medicine, Medicine and Science at Utrecht University (IRAS), the Netherlands Institute for Health Services Research (Nivel) and Wageningen University & Research (WUR) are conducting a large-scale study on the health of people living in the vicinity of livestock farms (the Livestock Farming and Residential Health programme).

Sub-study on outdoor air samples

This sub-study of the VGO-III programme on livestock farming and residential health focuses on air samples taken using sampling posts in residential areas.

Sub-study on goat farms

In this sub-study of the VGO-III programme on livestock farming and residential health, we will be researching potential pathogens on goat farms.

Sub-study of residents who do not have pneumonia

In this sub-study of the VGO-III programme on livestock farming and residents health, we will be studying potential pathogens in local residents who do not have pneumonia and are living near a goat farm.

Sub-study on patients with pneumonia

In this sub-study of the VGO-III programme on livestock farming and residential health, we will be studying potential pathogens in patients who have pneumonia and live near a goat farm.
