The Public Health Monitor Young Adults provides information on the health, wellbeing and lifestyle of Dutch young adults aged 16 to 25 years. The Municipal Public Health Services (GGDs), GGD GHOR Netherlands and the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) collaborate to conduct this research. The results of the study help developing policies to improve the health of young adults.

Young adults are recruited via an online social media campaign to complete the digital questionnaire. In order to better understand the questionnaire results, a qualitative study is conducted as well.

The latest results come from the Public Health Monitor Young Adults 2024. In the spring and summer (April to July) of 2024, over 135,000 young adults participated. Results are available at national and regional level for all GGDs and on municipal level for most municipalities. Previous data collection took place in 2022.
